**PLEASE NOTE: The playground should be open by Saturday 28th May **

We are a group of local parents raising funds to transform our dated playground into somewhere amazing to play. Some of the play equipment in the park dates back from the early 1980’s and the council have no money to replace this equipment. The playground has been pieced together so the swings are in the centre, rather than a corner and there is little for toddlers or children with special needs to do. Please support us in whatever way you can! Facebook – ‪#‎wansteadplay Twitter – @WansteadPlay

Wanstead Playground is part of Christchurch Green and serves a huge area including Wanstead, Aldersbrook, Snaresbrook and some of South Woodford. It is located between the Central Line tube stops of Wanstead and Snaresbrook and is on the busy Wanstead High Street. Each September the park hosts the very popular Wanstead Festival, but the playground is busy all year round! Christchurch Green has a lot of charm and is steeped in ancient history as once it formed part of Epping Forest. The medieval church still stands within the grounds of the green and is widely attended. Wanstead Playground Association is a Registered Charity – 1160868
